PLAYER PATHWAY
CENTRAL SPARKS ACADEMY
Central Sparks Academy is one of eight regional academies within the Women's Elite Domestic Structure. 2021 will be the debut year of the Central Sparks Academy, representing a new step on the women and girls’ cricket playing pathway that stretches from All Stars all the way to playing for England Women.
Regional academies exist as part of the new Women's Elite Domestic Structure to offer outstanding, relevant, learning and development environments to talented female cricketers in England and Wales.
Each Regional Academy will provide individualised support at a vital stage of player development and play a central role in embedding a high-quality Women’s Elite Domestic competition in future years, alongside developing future England cricketers.
The Academy will have a summer match programme which includes games against the other Regional Academies and a Festival in July. Academy observation will then reopen in September 2021.
